on december 6, 2018, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between china mobile and tsinghua unigroup was held during the china mobile global partners conference 2018. the parties will carry out in-depth collaboration in 5g, smart terminals, iot and many other aspects, as an attempt to cultivate a sound business ecology and promote the sustainable development of the industry.


on the ceremony, li huidi, vice president of china mobile communications group, stated that a favorable cooperation basis existed between china mobile and tsinghua unigroup, which had worked together closely in projects such as china mobile’s obm phones, nb modules tendering, african market expansion and government cloud platforms. he added that the prospect for the cooperation would be pleasing in such fields as 5g and iot and hopefully china mobile and tsinghua unigroup might further explore and cooperate for new models, services and technologies, thus striving for a win-win outcome.


zhao weiguo, chairman of tsinghua unigroup, appreciated china mobile’s support for tsinghua unigroup in developing into a bellwether of china’s integrated circuits and digitalization. in light of the full coverage of tsinghua unigroup’s subsidiaries in mobile communication, iot, information security and cloud computing, zhao said that tsinghua unigroup would continue improving its products and services and work comprehensively with china mobile for a sound ecology of the industry chain and greater value.


in accordance with the agreement, the parties will work closely in 5g, core routing, etc. jointly expanding overseas markets of mobile phones and smart terminals. further, they will drive the cooperation based on onelink and the oasis iot platform to develop cloud-network synergy solutions. they will jointly offer cloud computing, big data, iot and other services, as an effort to promote the digital economy and new information technologies.
